There are not many people in the public eye today that possess the virtues, versatility and longevity of Kim Alexis. It has been 30 years since she first moved to New York City as an 18 year old to begin one of the most notable careers in the modeling industry. During this span, Kim was on over 500 magazine covers and featured in thousands of TV and print ads. She was featured in Sports Illustrated's famous swimsuit edition six times and was the face of Anne Cole Swimwear in 2009. Kim is now 49 years old and her career continues to flourish. The longevity that Kim has been able to sustain is due to her ability to remain true to herself and stay closely rooted to the values she holds dear. This stance has allowed her to continually transition herself. Kim's success is a product of her ability to balance her family, career and goals. This supermodel has run eight marathons and completed three triathlons. Prior to the year 2000, Kim served as a spokesperson for two New York Marathons, an ADVIL mini-marathon, and a triathlon. In 2006, Kim again served as a spokesperson for the New York City Marathon. Kim also hosted the 2008 More Marathon and Half-Marathon. Kim is a firm believer that there are no hidden secrets. Kim recently finished production on the 2nd season of her hit television show She's Got the Look. The TV Land show is a reality series competition which searches for the next great supermodel aged 35 and beyond. In partnership with Wilhelmina Models, Inc., the series sets out to discover a woman 35 or older who exudes sophistication, beauty and confidence who wants to be a model. The winner will receive a lucrative modeling contract with Wilhelmina Models, Inc. and a feature in SELF magazine. Season 2 airs on TV Land beginning June 10th at 10pm EST. Kim is married to former New York Ranger Hockey Player Ron Duguay. They have five children together and live in New Jersey. |
